Why is my PC so slow?
There are many factors that can contribute to performance issues on a PC, such as
- age, the older hardware may not be able to process newer software
- It may need more memory
- The hard drive could be failing
- There could be an infection
- There could be just too much stuff open
What updates should I install?
It’s easy to get overloaded with software applications needing frequent updates. You should make an effort to update the important and frequently used software when it needs. This will include your anti-virus and security programs, Microsoft Windows and Office, Adobe products, Java, and any software you use on a daily basis.
Does weather affect my wireless service?
Severe weather can be very disruptive to radio signals, especially very high-frequency ones. Satellites that deliver data to homes use very high-frequency waves and quality can suffer in bad weather. Wireless, on the other hand, uses lower frequency waves than satellite and doesn’t need to travel more than a few miles. Because of the lower frequency, wireless is less likely to be affected by the weather.
